To bring attention to this issue and highlight strategies to prevent elder abuse, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is recognized annually on June 15.<a href=\"http:\/\/2urbangirls.com\/?action=user_content_redirect&amp;uuid=ccebbf7a169852f25f0e6478063af88c1b19dfc858ced37a4e62e1c411ac027c&amp;blog_id=52189823&amp;post_id=109897&amp;user_id=86029509&amp;subs_id=67531313&amp;signature=01f41353d940bfe8a27dae8ea18c709f&amp;email_name=new-post&amp;user_email=jobcollaborative@aol.com&amp;encoded_url=aHR0cHM6Ly9kY2JhLmxhY291bnR5Lmdvdi9sZWF2aW5nYWxlZ2FjeS8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>Bet <br>Tzedek, a nonprofit law firm that provides free, legal services to low-income residents &amp; families across Los Angeles County, is hosting their 8th annual WEAAD training on Thursday, June 6. <br>The day long training will focus on helping scam victims, with an emphasis on how estate planning can be used as a tool to prevent and intervene with elder abuse matters.In partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs, Bet Tzedek and St. John\u2019s Community Health created the \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/2urbangirls.com\/?action=user_content_redirect&amp;uuid=ccebbf7a169852f25f0e6478063af88c1b19dfc858ced37a4e62e1c411ac027c&amp;blog_id=52189823&amp;post_id=109897&amp;user_id=86029509&amp;subs_id=67531313&amp;signature=01f41353d940bfe8a27dae8ea18c709f&amp;email_name=new-post&amp;user_email=jobcollaborative@aol.com&amp;encoded_url=aHR0cHM6Ly9kY2JhLmxhY291bnR5Lmdvdi9sZWF2aW5nYWxlZ2FjeS8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leaving a Legacy<\/a><em>\u201d\u00a0<\/em>program.This initiative provides free advanced estate planning services to eligible residents. <br>The \u201cProtecting Legacies\u201d training program will include discussions on the importance of estate planning and how \u201cLeaving a Legacy\u201d can protect the interests of elder adults.\u201cLeaving a Legacy,\u201d is a free service for eligible Los Angeles County residents who do not traditionally engage in estate planning.
